My philosophy on molding canines to meet the needs of

their owners is simplistic in its execution. The dog must willingly complete the tasks asked because he wants to please the handler– not through fear of physical punishment. 

Commands are learned through patient repetition

in consistent sequences with the tone of voice being

very important. The dog must know the difference

between being talked to and being told what to do. 

A well controlled dog in the field is not only an incredible

asset but can be a point of both pride and joy.

The Crystal Mountain Training Center is located adjacent to Hot Springs Village.  Our facility is ideally suited for training your retriever or pointer.  There are several game farms in the area for live training.  The Hot Springs region of Arkansas abounds in lakes.  A retriever will be introduced to all types of water conditions and surroundings.  There are amateur field trials in traveling distance of the area if you wish your dogs to compete.  The Crystal Mountain Training Center has facilities for keeping your dog between hunting seasons for as long as you wish.  You may also wish to have your hunting dog "tuned up" for the coming hunting seasons if you do not have the time to do that yourself (and who does!).  Standard training and boarding for retriever training is $750 per month, paid in advance for each month of training.  We will feed your dog your diet or ours.  Dr. Bob Zepecki will keep track of the health of your dog while in training.  The facilities are secure.  All dogs are kept inside at night an have an outside and inside run.  The facility is also air conditioned.
